Ingredients

  • 8 slices of Sunbulah baguette bread
  • ½ cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • 8 figs, halved
  • 1 tsp fresh chopped thyme
  • ½ tbsp honey, salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Turn the oven to the broiler setting or 200˚C.
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  3. Place the slices of bread in the pan.
  4. Top each slice with about a tablespoon of Gorgonzola.
  5. Top with two fig halves. Sprinkle a little thyme.
  6. Repeat for the remaining bread slices. Salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake or broil until the cheese starts to melt.
  8. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey.
  9. Serve at room temperature.
