Gulf technical & Trading Co. was incorporated in the Sultanate of Oman in January 1993 as a result of a mutual agreement between the LIFCO group, UAE and Mr. Masood Al-Harthy in Oman.

The mission of the newly established entity was to provide the consumers in the Sultanate of Oman with an affordable yet high quality food product.

Working towards that goal, the shareholders agreed to give LIFCO group the management of the new company capitalizing on the extensive experience that LIFCO GROUP has in the field of marketing & distributing food products.

Within a relatively short period, GTTC was able to efficiently penetrate different market channels in Oman and position itself as a reference in providing quality service to various consumers.

The technical division, dealing primarily with furniture and refrigeration equipment, was the first to be set up. Relying heavily on the insight and vision of the management, the foodstuff division was established to address the gap of high quality food suppliers in the market. Before long, the foodstuff division had efficiently paved its way towards making a resounding impact on Oman’s local economy and established itself as a brand that prides itself in the highest quality products. Today, the GTTC name stands for one of the most prominent foodstuff importers and distributors in the Sultanate of Oman.

Among the 350+ customers being served, the client mix of the foodstuff division currently includes major hypermarkets, first & second class Supermarkets, Hotels, Groceries, Institutions, Wholesalers, and Caterers.
